Welcome to the NPRGroup

We are an intermediary team connecting company sponsored employees with light duty work assignments at local non-profit facilities for a limited time. The employee will typically work a traditional weekday or weekend schedule for up to 40 hours per week. The work assignments are an extension of the employers light duty program and specifically for employees recovering from a work injury or a non-occupational condition.

Extraordinary Volunteerism

The Employer Sponsored Volunteer is not a “true volunteer” (who works freely) or a community service volunteer (who receives credit). The Employer Sponsored Volunteer (Program Participant) receives wages and benefits from their employer while they are temporarily working at a non-profit facility.

Return to Work Light Duty

Employers are not always able to provide job duties for an employee that has been restricted to light duty due to a work related injury or non-occupational condition. That is where we come in. We arrange an opportunity for the employee to work off-site at a local non-profit facility that can provide light duty work for the employee until they return to work full duty or the work status changes. This can be anywhere from a few days to a few months depending on the recovery progress.

Employer Sponsored

The employer sponsors the employee to work offsite at a local non-profit during their recovery as an extension of their employment for the work related injury or non-occupational condition. The employer provides all applicable benefits, insurance & wages while the employee is working at the non-profit facility, just as if they were working on site.

For the non-profit, the employee is acting as a volunteer, but may not be able to perform the same tasks that a “true volunteer” does. The employee is responsible to adhere to the non-profit policies and/or volunteer guidelines.
